Snake River Water District
For nearly 40 years, the Snake River Water District in Keystone, Colorado has worked to reliably provide clean, quality drinking water and fire protection to the Keystone valley 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The District manages, operates, and maintains 8 wells, 2 water treatment plants, 4 storage tanks, 1 pump station, and approximately 30 miles of distribution pipe that provide drinking water and fire protection to thousands of residents, businesses, and visitors each year.
Population growth, changing regulations, and aging infrastructure are continual challenges for providing drinking water to our region. The District is committed to being proactive to address these issues and provide reliable, uninterrupted service to our customers.
The District recently completed a Water System Master Plan to provide guidance and prioritization of short term and long term projects to meet challenges over the next ten years. As a follow up, the District completed financial analysis to chart a course on funding options for improvements.

Timber Creek Water District
Timber Creek Water District is located in Blue River, CO. In November, 2009, the Timber Creek Water District was established and a board of five elected members was created. They started holding monthly board meetings to develop a strategic plan and financial budget to serve the district water users.
The number of homeowners that assisted the board through the assessment process and later with the strategic planning was truly remarkable and very much appreciated. It was quickly determined that in the best interest of the homeowners that the water district should own all of its water rights. In December 2010 we acquired water rights that were previously leased. This did two things. First is secured ownership of the water rights needed for the complete build-out of the district. Secondly, it eliminated the substantial annual lease costs.
The Timber Creek Water District continues to work towards ensuring reliable and safe water to its customer population of approximately 350.
